Full Description: The Fox, formerly The Terminus Hotel, was originally constructed in the late 1800’s and then extensively rebuilt following fire in the 1920’s. A full renovation has been undertaken with an art deco theme being carried throughout the venue. This was the era of Al Capone and the Gentleman Gangster, Moulin Rouge and the Can Can. The hotel reflects the architecture of this period, from the magnificent marble bars to alabaster mood lighting and spectacular lead crystal chandeliers.
Campari, on the ground floor is the signature dining facility within the complex offering contemporary Italian-style cuisine in true ‘ristorrante’ style. With an opening roof, wine cellar and comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. The Main Bar, also on the ground floor, is a masterpiece of art deco reconstruction with Terrazzo polished floors, lead crystal chandeliers, Calcutta marble bars and ornate period ceilings. Opening onto Hope St. Boulevard where outdoor tables cater for those wishing to make the most of the balmy sub-tropical Brisbane lifestyle. On the top level is the amazing roof garden with 360 degree views of Brisbane. |
