Full Description: A Cairns institution, the recently refurbished funky Pier Bar and Grill faces the lagoon and Cairns Esplanade. The Pier has possibly the most enviable location in Cairns, overlooking the water, across the Coral Sea. This beautiful view of the lapping water and incoming boats and yachts, belong to one of the classiest venues that Cairns has to offer.
The hospitality is down-to-earth and it’s for this reason that the large open deck starts to fill with locals and tourists as soon as the sun starts to set. It has famous pizzeria and char grill food on offer, and is decked out in modern décor inside and out. The Pier is traditionally known for its Sunday Sessions but has now established itself as a fabulous meeting place for drinks or a meal as well.
Professional competitions are held regularly including Bartercard
Miss Indy Australia and Best Model Australia, which have attracted
some serious contestants with major prize packages on offer. These
are held on a Friday or Sunday night, and the Pier is the place to be
